Electronic price tags for the Dr. Max Group

When you think of pharmacies, you think of Dr. Max: the Dr. Max Group is Europe's second-largest pharmacy chain, with more than 2,000 pharmacies in eight European countries. Its headquarters are in Prague. Dr. Max pharmacies are particularly common in Central and Eastern European countries, where they form an important part of the healthcare system. As part of a strategic partnership, over 1,000 branches will be equipped with electronic shelf labels and the cloud-based VusionCloud platform. As a local ‘value-added partner,’ e-shelf-labels is responsible for the technical implementation on site – from planning and integration to ongoing support.

By integrating e-shelf labels, the Dr. Max Group has taken an important step towards digitising its pharmacy branches. Centrally controlled, automated pricing reduces manual effort and relieves the burden on staff on site. At the same time, customers also benefit: thanks to the time saved, the pharmacy team has more time for personal and expert advice.

Increased efficiency through digitalisation

With the "VusionCloud" software, the Dr. Max Group has a powerful tool for seamlessly managing and monitoring networked devices in its stores, enabling a smoother daily workflow. In addition, automated adjustment to price changes and discount campaigns significantly reduces the error rate, making price labelling more reliable and transparent – enabling the company to respond quickly and flexibly to market changes.

Implementation by the end of 2026

Implementation by the end of 2026 To date, more than 220 branches have already been equipped with the new system, and implementation in all 1,000 locations is expected to be completed by the end of 2026. The implementation team will be working in Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Romania, Serbia and Italy. This international partnership underscores the growing importance of digital solutions in the pharmacy environment, especially at a time when efficiency, flexibility and, last but not least, customer focus are becoming increasingly important.
